Love,
War, Life
Chrystal H., 12th Grade I believe in the love of a Savior, one that cannot be held back. I believe in the power of a follower, and his dedication to a path. I believe that every child has a mind that is great, and can change the world with one thought. I believe in the people who don’t care for opinions, but rather their own of themselves. I believe in the children battling cancer, who have more strength than can be shown. I believe in the person who stands up and fights, rather than sitting alone. I dream of a world where war is not an option, and hate is no longer in sight. I dream of a place where everything is beautiful, like a sunset on a beach at night. I dream of a world where perfection is guaranteed, and limitations are not a possibility. I dream of a man so perfect for me, that there’s no doubt he was made for my life. I dream of a future where my child will see how far the world has come. I dream of a world where laughter is as addicting, rather than a drug in ones’ lung. I’m inspired by the man who gave his life for a country, and did so with so much heart. I’m inspired by the artist who followed his dreams, and made a name for himself with his art. I’m inspired by the mother, working two jobs and trying to provide for her teen. I’m inspired by the fireman, who runs into flames to save the dog of a family. I’m inspired by the addict, who broke their bad habit and made themselves clean. I’m inspired by the people who want a better world, and don’t believe in the word mean. |
I Wish I Were a Blue Balloon
David M., 12th Grade I wish I were a blue balloon floating in the wind, Free from earthly obligations I would travel ‘round the globe soaring high and mighty Visiting all unknown places, the whole world in my hands. Yet, I would be flying hopelessly forever at the wind’s mercy Lost and confused for all eternity Spiraling against my every will No, I must take control determine my own destiny No one shall rule over me and tell me what to do I shall not be a blue balloon |
