Sticks and Stones
I am like everyone else,
But I do not get treated as myself. I’m the kid who gets pushed in the halls, Who gets shoved against the walls. I’m the kid who hears all the whispers, Who each day my self worth withers. I’m the kid who sheds a million tears, Who gets nothing but pain from my peers. I'm the kid who cries helpless pleas, Whose abuse will never seize. How does it feel to have it all, And to never be afraid that you’ll fall? All this time I've been waiting for my life to begin, Looking for some way to fit in. I'm the kid who you never think about twice, But you won't get another chance to roll the dice. I'm the kid who is beaten and ignored, But now you'll pay a price you can't afford. Words, they can not kill, But they can lead to actions that will. People say putting others down won’t help you get to the top, But if this is true why don’t they stop? Think of all the things that you've said, The lies and hate you've filled in my head. You didn't see it, but I bled, All the wrong thoughts start to fled. |
Now they finally made me snap,
They made me snap and I can't look back. Thinking now is way too late, I am scared, but today is my death date. No one ever gave me a chance, They never even gave me another glance. No one will listen, nobody understands who I am, Maybe this will show them. With each step I take the anxiety grows, The things that are about to happen no one knows. I came today to settle the score, My hands are shaking as I open the door. As I announce I'm here to teach a lesson, I finally have everyone's attention. The silence turns to fear, As chaos reaches its full gear. Sudden pressure came with a crack and rattle, I've finally put an end to the painstaking battle. The shock leaving my vision blurred, A pool of warm, red sap has occurred. Words, they can not kill, But they can lead to actions that will. People say putting others down won’t help you get to the top, But if this is true why don’t they stop? I am like everyone else, But I do not get treated as myself. So now I hope that you have learned, I wonder now if anyone is concerned. |
