Dove of Hope
Miranda L., 9th Grade I see people who suffer. I see people who have tremendous pain. I see people who long for a lover. I see tears falling like a torrential rain. I watch people getting shoved into walls. I watch people “accidentally” fall. In this world of pain and hate, those who feel death is their only escape. But then I see a helpful hand. A person willing to take a stand. I see handshakes, hugs, and people having fun which overpowers the murder, depression, and guns. My only wish is that the world could see this, the hopeful spark shining through the mist. I wish more people would long to aspire to be someone that another could desire. To give up cruelty and revenge. Trade for kindness and use it to lend to those still suffering and wish that they may see the hope for a brighter day. I know this dream is not very probable. But I also know it is not impossible For one to start to spread the love and let hope fly like an un-caged dove. |
Believe,
Dream, Inspire
Caroline U., 9th Grade Believe in yourself When it feels like the world is against you, As if the weight will never lift. Believe in yourself because you are a gift. Believe religiously, Like a pastor giving his sermon. Believe in yourself and everything that’s yours. Believe in your dreams. Dream for joy, And for every child to have a toy. Dream like King, And for numerous things. Dream as big as you can. Go out and lend a hand. No need for reconsideration. It will inspire someone’s imagination. Believe, dream, inspire. |
